Abstract : The Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for black pepper represents a solution for the pepper farmers, traders, exporters, and importers seeking to address consumer concerns in domestic and foreign markets. The GAP concept addresses two distinct issues: improving effective and eco-friendly pest and disease management practices while avoiding expensive and dangerous agrochemicals, and enhancing environmental sustainability for permanently productive farm operations. It also contributes to socioeconomic sustainability. The development and adoption of GAP has become increasingly important in light of increasing regional and international trade in food and other agricultural products, as well as the growing consciousness of consumers of the quality, safety, and hygiene of the products they buy.
