PEPPER MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

01 World - Pepper prices in July 2021 showed a mixed response with only Malaysia recorded an increase for both local and international prices.
02 IPC Price Index and Composite Price - Pepper price index and composite price for July recorded a mixed response as price index for black pepper recorded a slight dip by 2.5% at 54.16 points while price index for white pepper recorded a 3.9% spiked at 57.71 points. Composite price of black pepper dropped to USD 4,029 per Mt while  composite price of white pepper increased to USD 5,971 per Mt.
03 India - Following three months responding positively, Indian pepper price this month reported with a decreasing trend.
04 Indonesia - Market continued with a decreasing trend as harvest in Bangka and Belitung expecting less than previous year.
05 Malaysia - Both local and international price of Malaysian peppers continued responding positively since April 2021.
