PEPPER MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

01 World - Pepper prices in May 2021 showed a mixed response with only Malaysia both local and FOB price was reported with an increase.
02 IPC Price Index and Composite Price – Price index of pepper both recorded 2% spike. Composite price of black pepper was at USD 3,881 per Mt whilst white pepper at USD 5,898 per Mt.

03 Indonesia – Muntok white pepper slightly dipped with less business as it welcomed the harvest season.
04 Malaysia – Malaysian Prices for black and white pepper had increased significantly in May 2021 as compared to same period last year.
05 Viet Nam – Viet Nam's 2021 harvest concluded at 180 KMT, a decrease of 40 KMT from previous estimation.
