India - Both domestic and international prices of Indian pepper declined for the second consecutive month, partially attributed to a 1% depreciation of the Indian Rupee (INR 85.93/USD). |
Indonesia - Domestic and international prices of Indonesian pepper continued their upward trend since the previous month, representing the only increase among major producing countries. However, market reports indicated lower stock availability. |
Malaysia - Both domestic and international prices of Malaysian pepper continued to decline during June 2025. |
Sri Lanka - After four consecutive months of upward movement, domestic pepper prices in Sri Lanka recorded a decline in June 2025. |
Viet Nam – Domestic and international prices of Vietnamese pepper fell for the third consecutive month, driven by weaker demand from key markets such as the Middle East, USA, and China, along with increased global stock availability, partly due to higher supply from Brazil. |
Others - Prices of Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper, and Chinese white pepper all declined in June. The downward trend in Brazilian prices may be linked to recent reports anticipating higher yields for the current year. |
