World - Pepper prices in June showed a mix response with Malaysian local pepper reported with the highest decrease. |

IPC Price Index and Composite Price – The price index of pepper for the first half of 2023 was reported with an increasing trend though lesser compared to May as price index of black pepper
reported a marginal increase to 49.67 points while price index of white pepper similarly recorded a marginal increase to 52.68 points. Likewise, the composite price of black and white pepper recorded
an increase of USD 10 and USD 19 per Mt respectively and were reported at USD 3,695 and USD 5,451 per Mt respectively. The average composite price of black and white pepper in
the first semester of 2023 were reported at USD 3,473 and USD 5,383 per Mt respectively. |

India - The Indian pepper price reported with an increasing trend this month. |

Indonesia - Even though the Indonesian Rupiah weakened against the US Dollar (IDR 14,932) @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation,
both local dan international prices for Indonesian pepper reported with an increasing trend this month as some areas in Belitung Island started to harvest. |

Malaysia - As the Malaysian Ringgit weakened against the US Dollar (MYR 4.63 @ 1 USD) or 2% depreciation, the Malaysian local pepper price continues to be reported
with a decreasing trend for the last two (2) months. Whilst Malaysian international price continues to be reported stable and unchanged. |

Sri Lanka - Even though the Sri Lankan Rupee strengthened against the US Dollar (LKR 301.62 @ 1 USD) or 3% appreciation,
local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with a decreasing trend this month. |

Viet Nam - Only Vietnamese local price reported with a decreasing trend this month, Whilst Vietnamese black pepper international price reported
with an increasing trend and Vietnamese white pepper international price reported stable. |

 |
|
US - Black and white pepper prices were reported to fluctuate to an unchanged undertone in the US market with more buyer activity for the 4th quarter position. |
