PEPPER MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

World - Pepper prices in September showed a mix response with most of the local currency of pepper origins reported to be weakened against the US Dollar. |

IPC Price Index and Composite Price – Though marginally, the IPC Price Index of pepper was reported with a decreasing trend as Price Index of black pepper reported 0.8% dipped to 50.40 points
while Price Index of white pepper recorded much less drop of 0.1% to 55.02 points. Accordingly, the Composite Price of black and white pepper also recorded a marginal decrease by US$ 29 per Mt at US$ 3,749 per Mt
for black pepper and US$ 4 per Mt at US$ 5,693 per Mt for white pepper. |

India - The Indian pepper price continued to be reported with an increasing trend since June 2023. |

|
Indonesia - Even though the Indonesian Rupiah weakened against the US Dollar (IDR 15,367 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation, Indonesian black pepper price reported
with an increasing trend for the last two (2) months. Whilst, Indonesian white pepper reported with a decreasing trend as some farmers finished their harvest. |

Malaysia -Only local pepper prices from Malaysian reported with a decreasing trend this month which partially contributed to the weakening of Malaysian Ringgit against the US Dolar
(MYR 4.68 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation. Whilst, the others continued to be reported stable and unchanged. |

Sri Lanka - Local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend since last month. |

|
Viet Nam - Even though the Vietnamese Dong weakened against the US Dollar (VND 25,180 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation,
both local and international prices for Vietnamese pepper reported stable this month as the market reported quiet. |

|
US - US market remained stable and unchanged for the last two (2) weeks. Furthermore,
there was limited of demand and supply from origins for the latest shipment positions. |
