PEPPER MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

	Global - Pepper prices in July 2025 exhibited mixed trends, with Viet Nam and China recording an upward trajectory.
	IPC Price Index and Composite Price – The IPC Price Index for July reflected an upward trend. The black pepper index rose by 3.7% to 88.70 points, while the white pepper index edged up by 1.4% to 89.22 points. Consequently, the composite price of black pepper increased by USD 233/MT to an average of USD 6,598/MT, while white pepper gained USD 125/MT to reach USD 9,233/MT. Global trade during the first seven months displayed mixed results, leaning downward overall, with only Brazil and India recording year-to-date trade growth of 27% and 6% respectively.
	India - After two months of decline, both domestic and international prices of Indian pepper stabilized in July.
	Indonesia - Domestic black pepper prices declined, while white pepper prices remained stable.
	Malaysia - Domestic and international prices of Malaysian pepper continued to fall for the third consecutive month.
	Sri Lanka - Domestic pepper prices extended their decline in July.
	Viet Nam – The international price of Vietnamese white pepper stabilized, while other categories moved upward.
	Others - Prices of Brazilian and Cambodian black pepper declined, whereas Chinese white pepper remained stable.
