Members of Panel from member countries met in Bogor to review the IPC Agreement
The members of panel from member countries met in Bogor from 10th - 11th October 2016 to review the Agreement Establishing and other related Rules and Regulations following the decisions made at the 43rd Session of IPC.
The 2nd Meeting of Panel organized jointly by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia and the IPC Secretariat was attended by official representatives from the IPC member countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

Mr. Iman Pambagyo, the Chairman of the International Pepper Community (2015-2016), who is also the Director General of the International Trade Negotiation of the Ministry of Trade, Republic of Indonesia in his welcoming Speech mentioned the importance of IPC as the commodity organization of pepper producing countries and requested all the panel members to discuss carefully and come up with the finalized draft of the Revised Agreement and Rules of IPC to protect the interest of the member countries.
The meeting agreed to propose some amendments to the Agreement Establishing International Pepper Community; the Rules of Procedures; Financial Regulations and Staff Rules and Regulations. The Meeting further decided to propose the change of the name of Agreement Establishing International Pepper Community to International Pepper Community Agreement.
Under the IPC Staff Rules and Regulations, the Term of References for the post of Executive Director and Professional Staff were also discussed and considered and all the members after lengthy discussion have come into agreement to revise the Terms of Reference

The draft of revised Agreement along with the other Rules and Regulations of IPC will be circulated to the member countries and further placed for consideration at the next Session of IPC to be held in Indonesia this year.
