Dato Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom named as new Chairman and Dr. Harry Entebang as new Director General of Malaysian Pepper Board
The Ministry of Plantation Industry and Commodities of Malaysia has named Dato Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom as the new Chairman of Malaysian Pepper Board. Dato Tan Sri William Marwan Ikom was the former Social Development Minister of the Sarawak State, Malaysia, assumed office as the Chairman effective from Aug 16, 2016.

Meanwhile Dr. Harry Entebang has been appointed as the new Director General of the Malaysian Pepper Board. He took over the post from Dato Grunsin Ayom who retired early this year as the Director General of Malaysian Pepper Board.
The Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) is a federal statutory body under the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Malaysia and established under the Malaysian Pepper Board Act 2006 on 1st January 2007. MPB headquarters is located in Kuching, Sarawak and has two Regional Offices in Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu whilst nine branch offices located in Sarawak. The MPB directly involve in the development of pepper industry in terms of research, support for production improvement and marketing of pepper.
The IPC Secretariat wishes to congratulate Dato Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom as the Chairman and Dr. Harry Entebang as the Director General of the Malaysian Pepper Board for their appointment. The IPC also hope that the appointment of these top officers at the Malaysia Pepper Board will further develop the pepper industry and Trade in Malaysia and strengthen the cooperation among the IPC member countries for the betterment of the Pepper industry.
