IPC at Chongqing: A Week of Dialogue and New Connections

Chongqing became a meeting point of stories, flavours, and aspirations as the China Spices Conference 2025 gathered the global spice community from 5–8 November. Among 29 invited speakers and over 180 delegates, the International Pepper Community (IPC) joined the conversation, sharing insights, renewing partnerships, and exploring new possibilities for the industry.
On 6 November 2025, shortly after the MoU between IPC and the China Spices Association (CSA) was signed, IPC Executive Director Mrs. Marina Novira Anggraini took the stage to present “From Farm to Global Table: Reinventing the Pepper Value Chain Through Innovation and Collaboration.†Her message echoed a common thread felt throughout the conference: that pepper’s long journey, from farmers to global markets, continues to evolve through cooperation, trust, and shared vision.

The days in Chongqing also opened space for IPC to reconnect with long-standing partners, meet new allies, and deepen engagement across the spice ecosystem. This momentum carried forward to Beijing, where IPC met the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) and the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the People’s Republic of China as part of the ongoing diplomatic effort to invite China to join the Community.
A meaningful chapter of dialogue and collaboration, one that strengthens the path ahead for the global pepper and spice industry.
