IPC Committee on Quality met at Cochin India to finalize the Revised Draft of IPC Standards for Pepper and Pepper Products
(Cochin, 11-09-2015/IO/IPC) The members of the IPC Committee on Quality from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam are meeting in Cochin, India from 10th-11th September 2015. The Meeting of IPC Committee on Quality are to discuss and consider a number of important agenda including the revised draft of IPC Quality Standard Specifications, IPC Methods of Analysis and other quality related issues.

The meeting which was organized jointly by the IPC and the Spices Board of India at Renai Hotel, Cochin, was attended by the Executive Director of IPC, Chairman and members of the IPC Committee on Quality from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and other quality personnel / officials. Brazil was unable to send their representatives at this Meeting.
At the 21st Meeting of the IPC Committee on Quality held in Cochin from 10th-11th September, all the members of the Committee have unanimously agreed to adopt the revised draft of the IPC Standards Specification for Black/ White and Dehydrated Green Pepper (Whole, Ground) after taking into consideration the inputs and comments received from the member countries.
The Committee on Quality has also agreed to submit the adopted draft of IPC Standards Specifications to the 43rd Session of IPC to be held in Mysore from 22nd-25th November 2015 for consideration and adoption by the Executive Meeting of IPC Heads of Delegations.
In addition to the above agenda, the IPC Committee on Quality also discuss and consider other quality related issues such as reviewing the IPC Methods of Analysis, IPC Good Manufacturing Practices; Inter-Laboratory Proficiency Test Programme and future works of the IPC Committee on Quality.
