Bridging Continents Through Peppers
On 12 June 2025, a meaningful virtual meeting took place between Jakarta, Indonesia, and Washington D.C., USA, as IPC Executive Director Ms. Marina Novira Anggraini connected with Ms. Laura Shumow, Executive Director of the American Spice Trade Association (ASTA).
Despite the miles apart, the commitment to collaboration remains close. The conversation reaffirmed the strong and long-standing partnership between IPC and ASTA, grounded in a shared mission to support fair trade, harmonized standards, and a more resilient global spices industry.
The discussion also highlighted preparations for the 53rd IPC Annual Session in India, a pivotal gathering to unite spice stakeholders from across the globe.
Because pepper carries more than flavor, it carries stories of trust, partnership, and global impact.
