Institutional Engagement with Universitas Brawijaya and BPU UB

From 10-12 February 2026, the IPC conducted a structured institutional engagement in Malang, East Java, as part of its broader mandate to strengthen collaboration between academia, policy institutions, and global commodity stakeholders.
The programme commenced with a working lunch with the leadership of the Business Management Agency (BPU UB): Dr. Ir. A courtesy call was subsequently held with the Rector of Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Widodo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.Med.Sc., during which IPC's mandate, current priorities, and areas of possible collaboration were presented.
On 11 February, the IPC Executive Director delivered a seminar on business development planning and sustainability toward global market integration. A separate meeting with Sahiruddin, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, explored perspectives on cultural dimensions in commodity branding and international engagement.
The engagement concluded on 12 February with Dr. Ahmad Imron Rozuli, S.E., M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, focusing on trade governance studies and research collaboration related to global commodity policy.
This engagement reflects one possible model of academic-institutional collaboration.
