True progress in trade is built on dialogue and shared vision. On 28 October 2024, during the 53rd Annual Session and Meetings of the International Pepper Community (IPC) in Kochi, India, the 13th Business Session brought together leading voices of the global pepper industry to exchange ideas, experience, and innovation.
With the theme “Regional Integration and Inclusive Export Innovation,†the session served as a bridge between knowledge and opportunity, exploring new pathways toward a more connected, competitive, and sustainable spice future.
Distinguished speakers from renowned institutions and companies shared their expertise: Mr. Giridhar Rao of Terova, Dr. Viju Jacob of Synthite Pvt. Ltd., Ms. Laura Shumow of ASTA, Ms. Anna Strzelec of Scorpion, Mrs. Sushama Srikandath of AVT McCormick Ingredients Pvt. Ltd., and Mr. Jasvinder Singh Sethi of NAMAGRO and Consultant to IPC. Their insights reflected decades of leadership and a shared belief that innovation must move forward with inclusion.
From discussions on traceability and regional value chains to reflections on export resilience, market volatility, and new technologies, the Business Session reaffirmed one essential truth: dialogue remains the foundation of growth.
Through cooperation and shared purpose, the International Pepper Community continues to unite nations and industries, shaping a future where spices remain not only a trade of value but also a legacy of connection.
