MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market this week showed a mix response with Indian and Sri Lankan pepper were reported with an increase.
The Indian pepper price reported with an increasing trend this week.
Both local and international prices for Indonesia reported stable this week.
Only Malaysian local black pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Whilst the others remained stable and unchanged.
Even though the Sri Lankan Rupee weakened against the US Dollar (LKR 323.83 @ 1 USD ) or 1% depreciation,
the local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Only Vietnamese local black pepper price continued to be reported with a decreasing trend for the last two (2) weeks.
Whilst, the others remained stable and unchanged as the market reported stable.
Black and white pepper prices were reported fluctuate for the last three (3) weeks which contributed to the low global demand and summer holiday.
