MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week showed a mixed response as Muslims around the world prepared to mark the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan this week.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
After reported stable for the last two (2) weeks, Indonesian black pepper reported stable this week. Whilst, Indonesian white pepper price reported with a decreasing trend.
Both local and international price for Malaysian pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend since last week.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper also reported with an increasing trend this week.
The local price for Vietnamese black pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Whilst local Vietnamese white pepper reported stable. Furthermore, international price for Vietnamese pepper reported with an increasing trend this week. Furthermore, China was expected to increase purchases as soon as Vietnam enters its main harvest season in March - April 2025 (vpsaspice.org).

Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper prices reported stable and unchanged this week.
