MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week continued to show mix response with only Indonesian white pepper reported with an increase. Furthermore, US as well as Canadian market prices weakened which contributed to the origins selling pressure.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper continued to be reported with a decreasing trend for the last three (3) weeks which partially contributed to the weakening Indian Rupee against the US Dollar ( INR 85.27 @ 1 US Dollar) or 1% depreciation.
Indonesian black pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Whilst, Indonesian white pepper reported stable as less stock reported in the market.
Local price for Malaysian pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Whilst, international price for Malaysian pepper reported stable and unchanged.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported stable since last week.
Local price for Vietnamese pepper reported stable this week. Whilst, international price for Vietnamese pepper reported stable and unchanged.

Brazilian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Furthermore, Cambodian black pepper continued to be reported stable and unchanged.
