MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The global pepper market continued to reflect a subdued sentiment this week, with no major producing countries recording an upward adjustment in prices.
Following three consecutive weeks of decline, both domestic and international prices of Indian pepper stabilized, showing no significant variation.
Domestic and international prices of Indonesian pepper remained steady throughout the week.
Domestic and international prices of Malaysian pepper recorded a downward movement at the onset of October.
Local pepper prices in Sri Lanka held firm, maintaining stability for the third consecutive week.
Domestic prices of Vietnamese pepper experienced a decline during the week, while international prices remained stable.

Brazilian pepper prices continued to ease for the second consecutive week. In contrast, Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper prices remained unchanged, coinciding with the observance of China’s National Day public holiday.
Between 2023 and June 2025, Denmark exported a cumulative total of 93 metric tons (MT) of pepper. Norway emerged as the leading importer with 44 MT, followed by Sweden, Germany, Iceland, and France.
