MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

By early November, the global pepper market displayed mixed trends across major producing countries. Viet Nam recorded the only notable upward movement, with domestic prices rising amid firm local demand and limited supply.
India saw a mild downward correction in both domestic and international prices, partly influenced by a 1% depreciation of the Indian Rupee (INR 88.69/USD).
After three consecutive weeks of stability, Indonesia’s domestic and international prices entered a downward trajectory, reflecting slower export momentum.
In Malaysia, domestic prices remained largely stable, while international quotations experienced a slight decline in response to subdued buying interest.
Sri Lanka’s domestic market remained steady, showing minimal fluctuation in both demand and supply conditions.
In Viet Nam, only domestic prices registered a moderate increase earlier this month, while international quotations for Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged, suggesting a stable trade environment.

Prices of Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper, and Chinese white pepper remained unchanged for the third consecutive week, indicating continued market stability in those origins.
Between 2023 and September 2025, Georgia imported a total of 235 MT of pepper. Viet Nam remained the largest supplier with 69 MT, followed by China, Egypt, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates.
