MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

By the second week of November, the global pepper market exhibited a combination of stable and divergent price movements across major producing countries.
India recorded a continued mild downward adjustment in both domestic and international prices compared with the previous week.
Indonesia’s domestic and international pepper prices remained steady throughout the week, supported by balanced market demand and an adequate supply situation.
Malaysia experienced an upward movement in domestic prices, while international prices remained unchanged, reflecting firm overseas demand and moderate supply conditions.
Sri Lanka’s domestic market maintained its stability for the third consecutive week, driven by steady buyer interest and unchanged market fundamentals.
In Viet Nam, only domestic white pepper prices posted a decrease during the week. International quotations for Vietnamese pepper remained stable, supported by consistent export demand and limited fluctuations in global purchasing activity.

This week, Brazilian black pepper prices strengthened, while Cambodian black pepper remained stable for the fourth consecutive week. Prices for Chinese white pepper, however, registered a decline during the same period.
From 2023 up to September 2025, Hong Kong imported a cumulative 639 MT of pepper. China remained the foremost supplier, contributing 292 MT, while Indonesia, Malaysia, the United States of America, and Viet Nam followed as key sources of supply.
