MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The market this week continued showing a mixed response.
Indian pepper price reported with an increasing trend this week which partially contributed to
the strengthening of the Indian Rupee against the US Dollar (INR 81.30 @ 1 USD), recorded 2% appreciation.
Pepper price for Indonesia reported stable this week as harvest expected to decrease.
Even though the Malaysian Ringgit strengthened against the US Dollar (MYR 4.71 @ 1 USD),
recording a 1% appreciation, the Malaysian local pepper price continued to be reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Whilst, Malaysia international price continued to be reported stable and unchanged.
Local price for Sri Lankan pepper remained stable since last week.
Only Viet Nam local white pepper price remained stable this week.
Whilst, the others reported with an increasing trend.
Import of Pepper by Romania (2020 - 2022).
