MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

Market this week showed a rather stable outlook for the pepper price with only Sri Lanka local pepper price recorded a decrease.

Even though Indian Rupee strengthened against the US Dollar (INR 75.85 @ 1 USD), recording a 1% appreciation, Indian pepper price reported stable this week.

Both local and international prices for Indonesia continued to be reported stable this week as pepper remained hard to get on farmer level.

Both local and international price for Malaysia continued to be reported stable for the last five weeks.

As Sri Lankan Rupee continued to be weakened against the US Dollar (LKR 298.81 @ 1 USD), recorded 6% depreciation,
local price for Sri Lanka responded negatively this week.
