MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The global pepper market displayed mixed trends, with only Sri Lanka\'s local black pepper prices showing an upward movement.
For the second consecutive week, both domestic and international prices of Indian pepper continued to decline.
Both local and international prices of Indonesian pepper recorded a downward movement this week.
Local and international prices of Malaysian pepper remained stable throughout the week.
Sri Lanka\'s local pepper prices continued on an upward trajectory for the second consecutive week, making it the only major producing country to report a price increase.
The local price of Vietnamese pepper declined, while international prices remained stable and unchanged.

Prices of Brazilian showed a declining trend this week, whereas Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper remained stable with no notable changes.
Between 2023 and March 2025, Bahrain imported a total of 173 metric tons (MT) of pepper. Viet Nam was the top supplier (73 MT), followed by the UAE, India, Turkiye, and Mexico.
