MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week continued to show a positive outlook with no origins reported with a decrease.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend over the past month.
Both local and international price for Indonesian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week as less stock reported in the market.
Only local price for Malaysian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Whilst, International price for Malaysian pepper continued to be reported stable and unchanged.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend in the last five (5) weeks.
Both local and international price for Vietnamese pepper price continued to be reported with an increasing trend since early May.
The increase for Vietnamese pepper due to less stock at farm gate as well as a decreased in pepper harvest in Viet Nam according to information from Namagro.

Brazilian black pepper and Chinese white pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend this week.
The increase for Brazilian pepper could be contributed to some crop failure reported in Espirito Santos, Brazil, thus,
shortage of stock was reported according to information from CSG Trade & COREIMEX. Whilst, Cambodian black pepper continued to be reported stable and unchanged.
In US market, both black and white pepper prices reported with a significant increase with limited offers as well as buying pressure from Europe and China.
