MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market this week continued to show a mix response.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Both local and international price for Indonesian pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week which partially contributed
to the weakening of Indonesian Rupiah against the US Dollar (IDR 15,720 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation as less transaction reported in the market.
Only Malaysian local black pepper price reported with an increasing trend this week, Whilst, the others remained stable and unchanged.
After reported with an increasing trend for the last three (3) weeks, the local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported stable this week.
Both local and international price for Vietnamese pepper remained stable and unchanged since last week as the domestic market was quiet.

Only Brazilian black pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Whilst, the Cambodian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper remained stable.
Import of Pepper by South Korea (2021 - 2023).
