MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week continued to show a mix response.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Furthermore, bullish global prices might slow imports and spurred exports as quoted from thehindubusinessline.com.
Indonesian black pepper reported with an increasing trend for the last three (3) weeks.
Whilst, Indonesian white pepper price reported with a decreasing trend.
Only Malaysian local black pepper price reported with an increasing trend this week.
Whilst, the others reported stable and unchanged.
Even though the Sri Lankan Rupee strengthened against the US Dollar (LKR 302.38 @ 1 USD) or 1% appreciation,
the local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Local price for Vietnamese pepper price reported stable since last week. Whilst, international price for Vietnamese pepper
continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks.

Only Brazilian black pepper reported with an increasing trend this week. Whilst,
Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper continued to be reported stable and unchanged.
