MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market in the second week of 2025 showed a mix response.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported stable this week.
Both local and international price for Indonesian pepper reported stable this week as the flowers started to grow in Lampung area.
Only Malaysian local white pepper price reported with a decreasing trend this week. Whilst, the others reported with an increasing trend.
As the Sri Lankan Rupee weakened against the US Dollar (LKR 295.26 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation, the local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
The local price for Vietnamese pepper reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks. Whilst, the international price for Vietnamese pepper remained stable.

Brazilian black pepper, Chinese white pepper as well as Cambodian black pepper reported stable this week.
