MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

01 World - Market this week showed mixed response due to the latest COVID-19 crisis, weakening local currency against the US Dollar and Eid Al-Fitr holiday break which put pressures on the pepper production and trading activities around the world.
02 Indonesia - Market slightly dipped with no business after Eid Al-Fitr holiday break. Decrease of the Indonesian price due to weakening of the local currency against the US Dollar.
03 Malaysia - Prices for black and pepper have increased significantly in May 2021 compared to same period last year.
04 USA - Market was reported with limited trading activities. Muntok white pepper CF June/July at USD 6,200 per Mt.
05 Import of Pepper by Canada (2019 - 2021)
