MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market this week continued to show a mix response with only Sri Lankan local price reported with an increase.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Both local and international price for Indonesian pepper reported stable this week.
Only Malaysian local white pepper price continued to be reported with a decreasing trend for the last two (2) weeks, Whilst, the others remained stable and unchanged.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend since last week.
The local price for Vietnamese black pepper continued to be reported with a decreasing trend for the last three (3) weeks. Whilst, the others reported stable.
Furthermore, Pepper prices on the market were being \"suppressed\" before the new harvest.
Traders lowered pepper purchasing prices, transaction volume was not active. (nongnghiep.vn)

Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper remained stable this week.
Furthermore, Cambodian farmers were unlikely to sell pepper at the moment due to low market prices, said Mak Ny, president of the Cambodian Pepper
