MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The global pepper market in the second week of December reflected a generally subdued sentiment, with price movements remaining stable and no indication yet of upward adjustments.
In India, following a moderate correction for the second consecutive week, both domestic and international prices remained stable throughout the period.
Domestic and international prices in Indonesia also remained steady, supported by favorable growing conditions as pepper plants in several producing areas are currently in the fertilization stage.
Malaysian domestic and international prices continued to demonstrate consistency, underpinned by stable supply conditions.
In Sri Lanka, the domestic market sustained its stability for the third consecutive week, supported by firm local demand and smooth supply flows.
Viet Nam reported no major price fluctuations, with both domestic and international markets remaining stable and steady throughout the week.

Brazilian black pepper prices experienced a slight downward adjustment, while Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper remained steady and unchanged.
Between January and August 2025, the Netherlands recorded pepper exports totaling 8,608 MT. Belgium remained the primary destination (2,283 MT), followed by Germany, France, Austria, and Spain.
