MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


By the third week of November, the global pepper market showed a broadly steady performance, with India recording the most noticeable upward movement, reflecting improving demand dynamics.
After two weeks of decline, both domestic and international prices of Indian pepper strengthened, supported by renewed market interest and healthier demand signals.
Indonesia’s black pepper prices remained stable throughout the week, while white pepper experienced a mild adjustment, indicating continued market resilience across the country’s key pepper segments.
Malaysia’s domestic and international pepper prices held firm, underpinned by balanced market fundamentals and steady demand from buyers.
Sri Lanka’s domestic market recorded a slight correction following several weeks of stability, while overall market conditions remained orderly.
Both domestic and international prices of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged from the previous week, reflecting sustained and stable demand conditions.

Prices for Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper, and Chinese white pepper remained stable throughout the reviewed period, supported by healthy supply availability, consistent export activity, and balanced market conditions across major producing regions.
Between January and September 2025, China imported a cumulative 6,749 MT of pepper. Indonesia maintained its position as the leading supplier with 3,225 MT, followed by Viet Nam, Brazil, Malaysia, and Italy, demonstrating strong regional supply performance and sustained market demand.
