The market is moving slowly this week, with decreasing prices in India and Vietnam. Fob prices of Vietnamese pepper however remained stable as last week. In Lampung and Sri Lanka black pepper prices prevailed in local market increased marginally and a marginal increase is also reported for white pepper in China. In Sarawak, stable price is continuing with a marginal decrease of dollar price in local market, due to weakening of Malaysian Ringgit against US dollar. Stable price is also recorded in Bangka.

EXPORT OF PEPPER FROM BRAZIL:
In the last IPC Session it was reported that export of pepper from Brazil would be higher in 2015 when compared with the export in 2014. This is possible since pepper production in Brazil was reported better in 2015. With this good crop, a volume of 36,000 Mt of export as targeted in the last IPC Session is likely achieved. In the statistics below, it shows that export from Brazil during first ten months (January-October) has increased by 10% from 24,400 Mt to 26,800 Mt. Observing export performance in October 2015 as well as exports in the remaining two months of 2015, a volume of around 10,000 Mt might have been released in November -December 2015.
