Local Prices of Black Pepper in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam were reported slightly higher when compared to the previous week prices. In Cochin, India, black pepper was quoted at the beginning of week at Rs.69,800 per Mt increased to Rs.70,300 Mt in the following days. In HCMC, local prices of black pepper also increased from the range of VND 191,000 - 192,000 to VND 193,000 - 194,000 per MT. FOB prices for black of India have increased by 2%, while in the other countries, FOB prices remain firm. However, prices of white pepper remain stable during the last two weeks.

Pepper Statistics Yearbook 2013:
