MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


By end-October, the global pepper market remained generally stable, with no major producing origins recording significant upward movement. The trend reflected a phase of market consolidation following earlier fluctuations.
After three weeks of continuous increase, both domestic and international prices of Indian pepper held steady, indicating balanced market sentiment.
Domestic and international prices of Indonesian pepper remained stable for the third consecutive week, sustaining a steady trading tone.
International price of Malaysian white pepper stayed firm for three consecutive weeks, while domestic prices showed a mild downward correction.
Following two weeks of stability, domestic pepper prices in Sri Lanka recorded a modest adjustment during the week.
Both domestic and international prices of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared with last week, reflecting steady demand conditions.

Prices of Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper, and Chinese white pepper stayed unchanged for the second consecutive week, maintaining an overall stable tone.
Between 2023 and August 2025, Estonia exported a cumulative 180 MT of pepper. Sweden remained the leading importer (137 MT), followed by Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Finland.
