MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week of April continued to show mixed response.
Even though the Indian Rupee weakened against the US Dollar (INR 86.25 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation, both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Indonesian markets started to open this week after being closed for a whole week due to the Eid al-Fitr holiday as less transaction reported in the market.
LBoth local and international price for Malaysian pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last seven (7) weeks.
Both local and international price for Vietnamese pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.

Only Brazilian black pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Whilst, the Cambodian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper continued to be reported stable and unchanged.
