MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


Market this week showed mixed response with only Viet Nam local black pepper price recorded an increase.
Indian pepper price responded negatively this week due to the weakening of the Indian Rupee against the US Dollar (INR 76.69 @ 1 USD), recorded 1% depreciation.
Both local and international prices for Indonesia continued to be reported stable for the last four weeks as less stock and less transactions in the market.
Both local and international price for Malaysia continued to be reported stable this week.
After reported with an increasing trend in the last three weeks, local price for Sri Lanka responded negatively this week due to the weakening of the Sri Lankan Rupee against the US Dollar (LKR 222.99 @ 1 USD), recorded 10% depreciation as Sri Lanka currently faced its worst economic crisis since the country gained independence in 1948.
Only Viet Nam local black pepper price responding positively this week. Whilst, Viet Nam local white pepper responding negatively. Furthermore, Viet Nam international price continued to be reported stable and unchanged since last week.
