MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week showed a mix response with only Sri Lankan local price reported with a decreasing trend.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with an increasing trend since last week.
Both local and international price for Indonesian pepper reported stable this week.
Malaysian local pepper price reported with an increasing trend this week.
Whilst, international price for Malaysian pepper remained stable and unchanged.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with a decreasing trend for the last two (2) weeks.
Vietnamese local price reported with an increasing trend this week.
Whilst, the Vietnamese international price remained stable and unchanged.

Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper reported stable this week.
Pepper prices in US market had significantly increased in the last two (2) weeks.
Export of Pepper by Australia (2021 - 2023).

26.04.24 | Bangkok, Thailand - One with Her Excellency Ibu Armida Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) and Executive Secretary of Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP)🤝.During the bilateral meeting between ESCAP and IPC, we had the opportunity to brief and update UNESCAP on the latest development of IPC and global pepper industry. Furthermore, we also discussed on the potential collaboration with ESCAP on trade facilitation and business process analysis specifically on pepper for the betterment of the industry
