MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The global pepper market exhibited mixed trends this week, with only Brazilian black pepper showing a downward trajectory.
Domestic and international prices of Indian pepper recorded an upward trend during the week.
Both domestic and international prices of Indonesian pepper continued on an upward trajectory this week, partly supported by a 1% appreciation of the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR 16,212/USD).
Domestic and international prices of Malaysian pepper recorded a notable upward movement during the week.
Local pepper prices in Sri Lanka remained steady this week for the three consecutive weeks.
Vietnamese local pepper prices experienced upward adjustments for the second consecutive week, while international prices remained stable compared to the previous week.

Prices of Brazilian pepper declined during the week; however, Cambodian black pepper continued its upward trend. Meanwhile, Chinese white pepper prices remained stable with no significant changes.
Between 2023 and April 2025, Romania exported a total of 306 metric tons of pepper. Poland was the top importer (107 metric tons), followed by Germany, Greece, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
