MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The global pepper market The global pepper market closed August on a positive note, with no major producing countries showing a downward trend.
Domestic and international prices of Indian pepper remained stable for the second consecutive week.
Both domestic and international prices of Indonesian pepper recorded an upward adjustment during the week.
Domestic and international prices of Malaysian pepper registered a notable upward movement over the week.
Local pepper prices in Sri Lanka stabilized during the period under review.
International prices of Vietnamese black pepper remained stable with no major fluctuations. Meanwhile, domestic prices reflected an upward adjustment over the week.

Prices of Brazilian pepper and Chinese white pepper strengthened with upward adjustments, while Cambodian black pepper prices remained stable.
Between 2023 and June 2025, Canada exported a total of 825,383 kilograms of pepper. The USA was the leading importer (790,233 kilograms), followed by Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, France, and Germany.
