MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week showed a rather positive outlook with no origins reported with a decrease.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last three (3) weeks.
Only Indonesian black pepper price continued to be reported with an increasing trend this week. Whilst, Indonesian white pepper price reported stable.
Both local and international price for Malaysian pepper reported stable and unchanged.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend over the past month.
Both local and international price for Vietnamese pepper price continued to be reported with an increasing trend since early May.
Furthermore, according to industry experts, the pepper market had entered a new price increasing cycle, according
to information from The Gioi and Vietnam newspapers.

Brazilian black pepper continued to be reported with a significant increase since last week.
Chinese white Pepper was also reported with an increasing trend this week. Furthermore,
the increase of Chinese price in Hainan was due to expect low production as well as speculator from China inland.
Whilst, Cambodian black pepper reported stable and unchanged.
In US market, both black and white pepper prices reported with a significant increase with limited offers as well as buying pressure from Europe and China.
