MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market at the start of November showed a mix response.
After reported with a decreasing trend for a month, both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week as Indian celebrated public holiday of Diwali this week.
As the Indonesian Rupiah weakened against the US Dollar (IDR 15,732 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation, both local and international prices for Indonesian pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Both local and international price for Malaysian pepper continued to be reported with a decreasing trend since last week which partially contributed to the weakening of the Malaysian Ringgit against the US Dollar (MYR 4.38 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Only International price for Vietnamese white pepper reported stable this week. Whilst, the others reported with a decreasing trend.

Brazilian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper reported stable this week. Whilst, Cambodian black pepper reported with an increasing trend.
