MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week showed a mix response with only Brazilian black pepper reported with a decrease.
After reported stable for the last two (2) weeks, both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Indonesian black pepper reported stable this week. Whilst, Indonesian white pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend since last week.
Only Malaysian local black pepper reported stable this week. Whilst, the others continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks.
Even though the Sri Lankan Rupee weakened against the US Dollar (LKR 297.71 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation, the local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with an increasing trend since last week.
Only Vietnamese local white pepper reported with an increasing trend this week. Whilst, the others remained stable.

Brazilian black pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Furthermore, Chinese white pepper as well as Cambodian black pepper continued to be reported stable this week.
