MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market this week showed a mix response with only Indian and Malaysian local black pepper reported with an increasing trend.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Indonesian market was reportedly beginning to open after the Eid al-Fitr public holiday.
Only Malaysian local black pepper reported with an increasing trend this week. Whilst, the others reported stable and unchanged.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Vietnamese local price reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Whilst, the Vietnamese international price remained stable as pepper harvest in several areas had reportedly been completed.

As the Brazilian Real weakened against the US Dollar (BRL 5.23 @ 1 USD) or 3% depreciation, Brazilian black pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Furthermore, Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper continued to be reported stable for the last three (3) weeks.
