MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market in the last week of January showed a positive outlook with no origins reported with a decrease.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend since last week.
Indonesian black pepper continued to be reported stable since last week. Whilst, Indonesian white pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks.
The local price for Malaysian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week. Whilst, the international price for Malaysian pepper reported stable and unchanged.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with an increasing trend for the last three (3) weeks.
Only Vietnamese local black pepper reported with an increasing trend this week. Whilst, the others remained stable. Furthermore, the market reported quiet during Tet holiday.

Brazilian black pepper as well as Cambodian black pepper reported stable this week. Furthermore, China celebrated Chinese New Year or the Lunar New Year this week.
