MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week continued to show a rather negative outlook with no origin reported with an increasing trend.
The Indian pepper price reported stable this week.
As the Indonesian Rupiah weakened against the USD Dollar (IDR 15,911 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation,
both local and international price for Indonesian pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Malaysian local pepper price reported with a decreasing trend for the last two (2) weeks which partially contributed to the weakening of Malaysian Ringgit
against the US Dollar (MYR 4.78 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation. Whilst, the international price remained stable and unchanged.
Even though the Sri Lankan Rupee weakened against the US Dollar (LKR 326.21 @ 1 USD) or 1% deprecation,
the local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported stable since last week.
Both local and international price for Vietnamese pepper continued to be reported stable this week
as the Viet Nam domestic market was reported stable.
