MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market this week continued to show a mix response with only Malaysian local white pepper price reported with a decrease.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported stable this week.
Indonesian white pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.
Whilst, Indonesian black pepper remained stable as some farmers in Lampung Province awaited for higher prices.
Only Malaysian local white pepper price continued to be reported with a decreasing trend for the last three (3) weeks,
Whilst, the others remained stable and unchanged.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last three (3) weeks.
Both local and international price for Vietnamese pepper reported stable and unchanged.

Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper remained stable this week.
Furthermore, as reported by some sources from Brazilian industry, production could potentially be affected due to drought and high temperatures.
The US pepper market reported appeared to have more buyers in the market as prices adjust.
