MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market in the first week of April continued to show mixed response as Muslims around the world celebrated the holiday of Eid al-Fitr.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper reported stable this week.
Indonesian markets were closed for a whole week due to the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Only international price for Malaysian white pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Whilst, the others continued to be reported stable this week.
The local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last six (6) weeks.
Local price for Vietnamese pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week. Whilst, the international price for Vietnamese pepper reported stable and unchanged.

Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper reported stable and unchanged.
The US and European continued to remain relatively quiet with a price remain unchanged as for the last three weeks and also semi holidays to some Muslim country.
