MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market this week continued to show mixed response.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper continued to be reported with a decreasing trend since last week.
Both local and international price for Indonesian pepper reported with an increasing trend this week which partially contributed to the strengthening of Indonesian Rupiah against the US Dollar (IDR 16,491 @ 1 USD) or 1% appreciation as less transaction reported in the market.
Local price for Malaysian pepper reported with an increasing trend since last week. Whilst, international price for Malaysian black pepper reported with a decreasing trend for the last two (2) weeks. Furthermore, international price for Malaysian white pepper reported stable and unchanged.
After reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks, the local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported stable this week.
Only Local price for Vietnamese white pepper reported with an increasing trend this week. Whilst, the others reported stable.

Brazilian black pepper, Cambodian black pepper as well as Chinese white pepper continued to be reported stable and unchanged since last week.
