MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The global pepper market displayed mixed trends during the reporting week.
Both domestic and international prices of Indian pepper recorded a downward adjustment over the week.
Prices of Indonesian black pepper declined, whereas Indonesian white pepper remained stable throughout the period.
The international price of Malaysian white pepper remained unchanged, while other Malaysian pepper prices showed a declining trend.
Sri Lankan local pepper prices experienced an upward trajectory during the week.
The local price of Vietnamese black pepper declined, while the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained stable. Meanwhile, international prices of Vietnamese pepper continued to rise for the second consecutive week.

Prices of Brazilian and Cambodian black pepper increased during the week, whereas Chinese white pepper maintained its stability with no notable change.
Between 2023 and March 2025, Austria imported a total of 1,085 metric tons of pepper. Germany was the top supplier (653 MT), followed by the Netherlands, Viet Nam, Hungary, and India.
