MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

Market this week showed a mixed response with Indonesia and Viet Nam recorded an increase.
Indian pepper price continued responding negatively for the last four weeks.
After two weeks with a decreasing trend, pepper price for Indonesia responded positive this week
which could be contributed to the strengthening of Indonesian Rupiah against the US Dollar
(IDR 14,523 @ 1 USD), recording 1% appreciation.
Both local and international price for Malaysia remained stable for the last three weeks.
Local price for Sri Lanka pepper continued to be reported with a decreasing trend for the past four weeks.
Following two weeks without an increasing trend, both local and international price for Viet Nam responded positively this week.
Export of Pepper by Brazil (2020 - 2022).
